Partnerships

We recently received United Way funding for therapeutic bodywork and some movement/stretching classes.

We also received funds from the Lion's Club for movement/stretching classes

THANK YOU

Radiant Path is also able to offer therapeutic bodywork to some of the residents at Staben House, a transitional housing program in Lake County, Illinois. This is available to the women in the program at no cost, thanks to some generous people at the North Shore Unitarian Church in Deerfield, IL.

As these women are working hard on the job, taking care of themselves and their children, and getting back on their feet, they will be able to benefit from massage therapy and myofascial release to help them reduce stress and move forward in their lives.

I believe the people at Staben House and Radiant Path will benefit greatly by this partnership.

Hands of Friendship

Radiant Path has been blessed to team up with some wonderfully talented and giving people.

The Nonprofit Institute at University of Wisconsin-Parkside has been very helpful in some start-up activities for Radiant Path.

Debra Karp assisted Radiant Path in many ways. She patiently reviewed start-up paperwork, and then started making some great connections with some very talented students!

Art Department students in Professor Goldsmith's class worked up many ideas for a logo. With patience, and numerous alterations, we ended up with a great logo!

Special thanks to Professor Goldsmith, Lauren Mikrut, and Kristin Pusel for their ideas and work!

The Nonprofit Institute linked us up with Jerry Boehme, a student at Gateway Technical College, who put together this website. Jerry not only finished the necessary work for his class, but made the commitment to complete Radiant Path's first full website! Jerry completed the layout, nine web pages, and completely set it up with the agency's new server. A lot of this was new to him (and almost foreign to Shawna!), and he stayed with the project to see it through. What a great gift!

Girl Scouts - giving so much to Radiant Path!

Senior Girl Scout Bethany Snyder completed her Gold Award Project at Radiant Path. Beth took an unfinished room, (blank walls, bare windows, and concrete floors), and made the most inviting children's/multi-purpose room. After raising funds on her own for all the supplies, Beth cajoled friends and family to help her clean, paint, sew, collect donations, and to organize in order to create a safe and warm place for children of all ages!! Beth collected enought funds to have beautiful new carpet installed on the floor, adding to the room's coziness.

Good things come in twos! Senior Girl Scout Samantha Pankau also completed her Gold Award Project at Radiant Path. Samantha had the vision and perseverance to transform a cold, unfinished room into an attractive and welcoming space...all with very little funds! Samantha had a way of getting almost anything donated, from paint to chairs, even carpet! Once she and her friends added their time, it truly became a labor of love. Samantha created a charming place for many future clients to spend time.
